What’s Included
Steady care from early pregnancy through six weeks postpartum.
When you choose Mountain Midwifery, care is not limited to the day your baby is born. BenNi walks with you through pregnancy, birth, the first days with your baby, and the early postpartum weeks.
What care looks like, step by step.
Every family’s care is personal, but the path usually looks something like this.
-
Free consultation
You begin with a free consultation. This is a chance to meet BenNi, ask questions, talk about your pregnancy, and discuss whether home birth may be an appropriate option.
-
First prenatal visit
Your first prenatal visit gives time to review your health history, pregnancy history, current pregnancy, and any factors that may affect your care.
-
Regular prenatal care
Prenatal visits are typically about one hour long. They include routine monitoring, education, birth preparation, and time for questions.
-
Home visit around 36–37 weeks
Around 36–37 weeks, BenNi typically does a home visit and brings your birth kit. This visit helps prepare your space, supplies, family, and support team.
-
Labor and birth
When labor begins, you call or text BenNi. She helps decide when the birth team should come. During labor, she monitors mother and baby, supports comfort measures, helps support people know how to help, and watches for signs that more support may be needed.
-
Immediate postpartum and newborn care
After birth, BenNi continues caring for mother and baby. This may include newborn assessment, feeding support, monitoring, and making sure both mother and baby are stable.
-
Postpartum visits through six weeks
Care continues with visits at 24–48 hours, 1 week, 2 weeks, and 6 weeks postpartum.
Prenatal visits that give you time.
Prenatal visits are typically about one hour long because your questions matter. Each visit includes routine monitoring, but it also gives space for education, birth preparation, emotional support, and conversation. If something feels confusing or overwhelming, there is time to slow down and talk through it.

Preparing your home, your family, and your support team.
At 36–37 weeks, BenNi typically does a home visit and brings your birth kit. This visit helps make sure your space is ready, your supplies are in place, and your questions are answered before labor begins.
It is also a time to talk about who will be present, how your partner or family members want to be involved, and what kind of support you may want during labor. Some partners want to be very hands-on. Some need more guidance. Some families want children nearby. BenNi helps you think through what support could look like for your family.
